Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
1 egg
½ tbsp dry minced onion
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp mustard powder
1 tbsp dry parsley
¼ cup Panko breadcrumbs
2 tbsp milk
Salt and pepper to taste
6 oz mushrooms, sliced
½ onion, sliced
½ tbsp olive oil
1 ½ cups beef broth
1 oz package dry brown gravy mix
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp cornstarch
½ cup water
Instructions
1. 1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine ground beef, egg, dry minced onion, garlic powder, mustard powder, dry parsley, Panko breadcrumbs, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 patties.
2. 2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties for about 3 minutes on each side. Transfer the patties to the slow cooker.
3. 3. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, dry brown gravy mix, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and fresh parsley. Pour the mixture over the patties in the slow cooker.
4. 4. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours.
5. 5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry. Remove patties and stir the slurry into the gravy. Cook on high until gravy thickens, about 5 minutes.
