A rich and hearty slow cooker beef stew with tender meat, vegetables, and deep savory flavor.
Ingredients
2 ½ pounds stew meat
½ teaspoon black pepper, garlic salt, celery salt
1/4 cup flour
3–6 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons cold butter
2 cups diced onions
4 cloves garlic
1 cup red wine
4 cups beef broth
2 bouillon cubes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons tomato paste
5 carrots
1 lb potatoes
2 bay leaves
1 rosemary sprig
1 cup peas
Instructions
1. Cut and season beef
2. Coat with flour
3. Sear beef in batches
4. Cook onions and garlic
5. Deglaze with wine
6. Transfer all to slow cooker
7. Add remaining ingredients
8. Cook low 8 hours or high 4 hours
9. Add peas last 15 minutes
10. Optional thicken and finish with butter

Add peas at end
Use cornstarch to thicken if needed
