Ingredients
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
3 eggs room temperature
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
heaping 1/4 tsp salt
zest of two fresh limes
1/4 cup margarita mix
1/2 cup butter (frosting)
1/2 cup shortening
4–5 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp tequila
1 tsp lime juice
Instructions
1. Cream butter and sugar until smooth
2. Add eggs one at a time
3. Mix in dry ingredients
4. Add lime zest and margarita mix
5. Fill cupcake liners and bake at 350°F for 18 minutes
6. Cool completely
7. Beat frosting ingredients until smooth
8. Add tequila and lime juice
9. Frost cupcakes and decorate

Do not overmix batter
