Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Brussels Sprouts, trimmed and halved

45 slices bacon, chopped

1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

12 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Trim ends of Brussels sprouts and halve them.

3. Toss sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.

4. Add chopped bacon and toss again to combine.

5. Spread in a single layer, cut side down, on the baking sheet.

6. Roast for 20–25 minutes until sprouts are tender and bacon is crisp.

7. Sprinkle pecans and drizzle maple syrup over the sprouts.

8. Return to oven for 5 more minutes to caramelize and toast pecans.

Notes

Use fresh Brussels sprouts for best texture.

Add a few dried cranberries for a festive twist.

For vegan, sub bacon with smoked tempeh.
