Description
Soft and buttery lavender cookies with a fresh lemon glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
¾ cup sugar
1 tsp dried lavender
2 lemons zest
1 cup butter
2¼ cups flour
¼ tsp salt
1–1½ cups powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp lemon juice
¼ tsp dried lavender (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Blend sugar and lavender
2. Add lemon zest and process
3. Cream butter with lavender sugar
4. Mix flour and salt
5. Chill dough 30 minutes
6. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare baking sheets
7. Scoop dough and bake 12–14 minutes
8. Cool cookies and prepare glaze
9. Glaze cookies and garnish with lavender
Notes
Use culinary lavender only
Do not overbake
Adjust lavender to taste
Chill dough for best texture
