Chopped Cheeseburger Biscuit Casserole is a hearty comfort food made with seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and fluffy biscuits baked into a warm, family-friendly dinner.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 (8 count) tube Pillsbury biscuits
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 small onion, chopped
Montreal steak seasoning or salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.
2. Separate biscuits in half and place bottom halves in the dish.
3. Bake biscuit bottoms for 5 minutes.
4. Sauté chopped onion in a skillet with a little oil for 5 minutes.
5. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
6. Drain excess grease and season beef mixture.
7. Spread beef evenly over the pre-baked biscuits.
8. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
9. Place remaining biscuit halves on top.
10. Bake for 20–25 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
11. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey for a leaner version.
Add pickles, ketchup, or mustard when serving for a classic cheeseburger taste.
Pre-baking the biscuits helps prevent sogginess.
