Description
Crispy, juicy air fryer chicken thighs made with simple pantry spices in about 34 minutes.
Ingredients
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
Instructions
1. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
2. Rub chicken with olive oil.
3. Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, pepper, and cayenne in a small bowl.
4. Rub seasoning over the chicken and under the skin where possible.
5. Preheat air fryer to 380°F.
6. Place chicken skin-side down in a single layer.
7. Cook for 12 minutes.
8. Flip chicken skin-side up and cook 10 to 12 more minutes.
9. Check that the thickest part reaches at least 165°F.
10. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra-crispy skin, refrigerate seasoned chicken uncovered for 30 minutes before cooking.
Cook in batches when your air fryer basket feels crowded.
Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 4 to 6 minutes.
