Ingredients
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, 6 to 8 ounces each
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Optional: lemon wedges and chopped parsley for serving
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
2. Pound the chicken to an even thickness, about 3/4 inch.
3. Rub both sides with olive oil.
4. Mix salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl.
5. Season both sides of the chicken and press the spices gently into the surface.
6. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 3 minutes.
7. Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
8. Cook for 7 minutes, then flip.
9. Cook 5 to 8 more minutes, or until the thickest part reaches 165°F.
10. Rest the chicken for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For larger chicken breasts, pound evenly or slice into cutlets.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
Use an instant-read thermometer for the juiciest results.
