Description
Witch Hat Brownies are festive Halloween treats made with fudgy brownies, colored frosting, and chocolate cone witch hats. Perfect for parties!
Ingredients
For the Brownies
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
1 cup Granulated Sugar
2 large Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
For the Frosting
2 cups Powdered Sugar
2–3 tbsp Milk (or almond milk)
Few drops Green Food Coloring
1 cup Halloween-Themed Sprinkles
For the Witch Hats
12 Chocolate Ice Cream Cones
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a square baking dish with parchment.
2. Melt butter and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Add flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Mix until combined.
4. Pour into the baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes. Cool completely.
5. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make frosting. Tint with green coloring.
6. Cut brownies into 12 squares and frost the tops in a swirl.
7. Place a chocolate cone upside down onto each frosted square.
8. Decorate cones with sprinkles, candy, or licorice as desired.
Notes
For a richer version, spread a layer of chocolate ganache before adding frosting. Make ahead by baking brownies a day early and decorating the day of.
