Description
This easy Tater Tot Beef Casserole is a comforting family dinner made with seasoned ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, green beans, cheddar cheese, and crispy baked tater tots.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
15 oz can green beans drained
10.75 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups frozen tater tots
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Lightly grease an 8 or 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
3. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium high heat and drain excess fat.
4. Add diced onion and cook 4 to 5 minutes until translucent.
5. Add garlic and cook one minute while stirring.
6. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper.
7. Transfer beef mixture to prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
8. Spread cream of mushroom soup over the beef.
9. Add green beans and season lightly.
10. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
11. Arrange frozen tater tots evenly on top.
12. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until tater tots are golden brown and cheese is melted.
13. Serve warm.
Notes
Use lean beef to reduce grease.
You can substitute corn or peas for green beans.
For extra crispy tater tots bake uncovered and arrange them in a single layer.
This casserole stores well in the refrigerator for up to four days.
