Description
Spicy Tuna Onigiri is an easy sushi-style Japanese rice ball filled with creamy tuna and sriracha. Perfect beginner Japanese snack.
Ingredients
3 cups cooked short grain rice
½ sheet nori
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black sesame seeds (optional)
5.29 oz canned tuna
2 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sriracha
Instructions
1. Season warm rice with salt and mix well.
2. Drain tuna thoroughly and mix with mayo and sriracha.
3. Place rice on plastic wrap and flatten into a circle.
4. Add spicy tuna filling in the center.
5. Wrap and gently shape into a triangle.
6. Attach nori strip to the base.
7. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve fresh.
Notes
Use short-grain rice for best texture.
Attach nori just before serving to keep it crisp.
Do not overfill to prevent cracking.
