Description
Sizzling Chinese Pepper Steak with tender flank steak, crisp bell peppers, and savory glossy stir fry sauce ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 large green bell pepper, sliced
1 large red bell pepper, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp honey
2 green onions, sliced
Sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Combine steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Marinate 15–20 minutes.
2. Heat 1 tbsp oil and stir-fry bell peppers and onions 3–4 minutes. Remove.
3. Add remaining oil and sear steak in batches 2–3 minutes per side.
4. Sauté garlic and ginger 1 minute.
5. Return steak and vegetables to skillet. Add water, rice vinegar, and honey. Simmer until sauce thickens.
6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
Notes
Slice steak against the grain for tenderness.
Do not overcrowd the pan.
Adjust sauce thickness with water if needed.
