Description
Sausage and sweet potatoes skillet dinner with honey garlic sauce. A hearty one-pan comfort meal.
Ingredients
1 lb sausage (Italian or chicken)
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Peel and cube sweet potatoes evenly.
2. Heat olive oil in skillet and cook sausage until browned.
3. Add cubed sweet potatoes and cook 5 minutes.
4. Mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
5. Pour sauce over sausage and sweet potatoes.
6. Cover and simmer 10 minutes until tender.
7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Cut sweet potatoes evenly for uniform cooking.
Use tamari for gluten-free option.
Simmer gently to prevent sauce burning.
