Description

These Rice Krispie Turkey Legs are a festive, no-bake Thanksgiving treat made with Cocoa Krispies, marshmallows, and candy-dipped pretzel bones.


Ingredients

6 pretzel rods, cut in half

10 oz vanilla melting wafers

12 oz mini marshmallows (reserve 24 for bones)

1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt

8 cups Cocoa Krispies cereal


Instructions

1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Melt wafers according to package instructions; transfer to a cup.

3. Dip cut pretzel ends halfway into melts, shake off excess, place on tray.

4. Press two marshmallows onto each dipped end to create a bone shape.

5. Chill for 5 minutes to set. Re-dip bones and chill again.

6. In a large pot, melt butter over low heat.

7. Add marshmallows (except the reserved 24) and stir until smooth.

8. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt.

9. Fold in Cocoa Krispies until well coated. Let cool 5–10 minutes.

10. Scoop ⅔ cup of mixture and shape around pretzel bones.

11. Let set 10–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can substitute classic Rice Krispies for Cocoa Krispies.

Spray hands with nonstick spray for easier shaping.

Store in airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
