This classic quiche features a flaky crust filled with creamy eggs, cheese, and savory bacon. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.
Ingredients
1 pie crust
1/2 lb bacon, chopped
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or gruyere)
1 3/4 cup half and half
4 large eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 Tbsp parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare and chill the pie crust or use store-bought
2. Roll out crust and place into tart or pie pan
3. Freeze crust for 30 minutes
4. Blind bake crust at 350°F for 35-40 minutes
5. Cook bacon until crispy, then sauté onions
6. Whisk eggs, cream, and spices together
7. Mix in bacon, onions, and cheese
8. Pour filling into pre-baked crust
9. Bake at 350°F for 50-55 minutes
10. Cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving
Notes
Do not overbake; center should slightly jiggle
