Description
Pasta Burger Bake is a budget friendly dinner that combines burger flavors, pasta, and melted cheese into a comforting casserole perfect for quick weeknight meals.
Ingredients
2 tsp sunflower oil
500 g beef mince
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 green peppers, sliced
750 ml hot beef stock
6 tbsp ketchup
3 tbsp yellow mustard
3 tsp paprika
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
250 g dried pasta
50 g chopped pickles
Salt and pepper
Grated cheese for topping
Instructions
1. Heat the oil in a large pan and cook the beef mince over high heat for 5–10 minutes until browned.
2. Add the onion, garlic, and green peppers and cook for another 5 minutes.
3. Stir in beef stock, ketchup, mustard, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
4. Add the pasta and bring the mixture to a simmer.
5. Cover and cook for 15–20 minutes until the pasta becomes al dente and the sauce thickens.
6. Preheat the grill to high heat.
7. Turn off the heat and stir in the chopped pickles and cream cheese.
8. Sprinkle grated cheese on top and place under the grill for 3–5 minutes until melted.
Notes
Use lean ground beef for best results.
Sharp cheddar cheese creates the best flavor.
Stir occasionally while the pasta cooks to prevent sticking.
