Description
Crispy, cheesy, oven-baked Parmesan crusted chicken that’s perfect for a quick dinner or entertaining guests.
Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt & black pepper to taste
Cooking spray or olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment or place a wire rack over it.
2. Slice chicken breasts in half or pound to even thickness.
3. Prepare three bowls: flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and a mix of Parmesan, breadcrumbs, and seasonings in the third.
4. Dredge each piece in flour, then egg, then press into the Parmesan mix.
5. Place coated chicken on the baking sheet. Let rest for 10 minutes.
6. Lightly spray or drizzle tops with oil.
7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and internal temp is 165°F.
8. Broil for 2 minutes for extra crispiness.
9. Serve with your choice of sides or dipping sauces.
Notes
Use fresh Parmesan for best results.
Letting chicken rest after coating helps the crust stick.
Reheat leftovers in oven for best crispness.
