Description

Fluffy and buttery old fashioned yeast rolls made with honey, eggs, and love. Perfect for holidays or everyday dinners.


Ingredients

Scale

2 cups warm water (100–110℉)

¼ cup honey

4 teaspoons active dry yeast

½ cup salted butter, softened

2 eggs

2½ teaspoons salt

7 cups all purpose flour

34 tablespoons melted butter (for tops)


Instructions

1. Stir warm water, honey, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.

2. In a large bowl, mix butter, eggs, salt, and flour.

3. Add yeast mixture. Knead 7–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. Transfer to oiled bowl, cover, and rise for 1 hour.

5. Divide into 30 balls (about 58–60g each), roll smooth.

6. Place into greased 11×18 pan. Cover and rise another hour.

7. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake 15–16 minutes until golden brown.

8. Brush hot rolls with melted butter and serve warm.

Notes

Use a scale for accurate flour measurement.

Practice shaping rolls with a “C” hand motion.

Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze up to 3 months.
