Description
Garlic Butter Steak Bites served over cheesy mashed potatoes with creamy Parmesan sauce. A rich, comforting skillet steak dinner perfect for gatherings or special occasions.
Ingredients
2 lbs steak (filet, ribeye, or sirloin)
4–5 tablespoons avocado oil
5 tablespoons butter, divided
10 cloves garlic, minced and divided
1.5 cups heavy cream
2 green onions, diced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 lbs russet potatoes
1 cup half and half, warmed
6 tablespoons salted butter, melted
3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Blackened seasoning (paprika, cayenne, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, oregano)
Instructions
1. Cut steak into 2–3 inch pieces and season with blackened seasoning.
2. Boil peeled potatoes until fork tender.
3. Sear steak in hot skillet with avocado oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
4. Toss steak in garlic butter and rest under foil.
5. Prepare Parmesan cream sauce in same skillet and simmer until thickened.
6. Mash potatoes with butter, half and half, and cheese.
7. Serve steak over mashed potatoes and spoon cream sauce on top.
Notes
Use high heat for a proper sear.
Do not overcrowd the skillet.
Let steak rest before serving to retain juices.
Reheat gently over low heat to avoid overcooking.
