Description
Fresh cranberry orange relish is a bold, tangy, and sweet no-cook condiment that brightens any holiday plate. Made with just three ingredients and ready in minutes, it’s the perfect make-ahead dish for turkey, toast, or even brunch.
Ingredients
1 large orange
1 (12 ounce) bag of fresh cranberries
3/4 cup white sugar
Instructions
1. Cut orange in half and then each half in quarters. (8 pieces total)
2. Remove any seeds and discard.
3. Place half of the orange slices (peel on) and half of the cranberries in a food processor or blender and pulse until finely chopped.
4. Transfer mixture to a bowl.
5. Repeat with remaining orange slices and cranberries. Add to the same bowl.
6. Stir in sugar and mix well.
7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 1 week.
8. Serve chilled. Optional: garnish with a slice of orange or a few cranberries.
Notes
You can make this relish up to 3 days in advance.
It freezes well for up to 3 months—thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
For added warmth, mix in a pinch of cinnamon or ginger.
Swap white sugar for maple syrup or honey if preferred.
