Description
Soft, fluffy, and gooey easy one hour cinnamon rolls made quickly with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Dough:
1 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1 packet yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
Filling:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Icing:
4 oz cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2–4 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. Melt butter and warm milk
2. Activate yeast with sugar and let sit 10 minutes
3. Add egg, salt, vanilla, then mix flour
4. Form dough and proof for 10 minutes
5. Prepare cinnamon filling
6. Roll dough into rectangle and spread filling
7. Roll into log and cut into 12 pieces
8. Place in baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes
9. Prepare icing and spread over warm rolls
Notes
Use fresh yeast for best results
Do not overbake to keep rolls soft
Add milk gradually for icing consistency
