Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese softened 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped 1 tablespoon fresh chives chopped 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 loaf white sandwich bread crusts removed 1 English cucumber thinly sliced
Instructions
In a bowl mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill, chives, garlic powder, salt and pepper until smooth. Lay bread slices in a single layer and spread cream cheese mixture on one side. Slice cucumber thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife. Place cucumber slices on half the bread slices. Top with remaining bread slices to form sandwiches. Cut sandwiches into triangles or squares. Serve immediately for best texture.
Notes
Use English cucumbers for best texture. Slice cucumbers thinly to prevent soggy sandwiches. Serve shortly after assembling for freshness.
