1 russet potato
1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
Your favorite toppings
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Scrub the potato thoroughly under cold water and dry well.
3. Prick the potato all over with a fork.
4. Place the potato on a baking sheet.
5. Brush the potato with olive oil and sprinkle salt all over.
6. Bake for about 1 hour or until a knife slides in easily.
7. Slice open the potato and gently press the sides.
8. Fluff the inside with a fork and add your favorite toppings.
Notes
Russet potatoes work best for crispy baked potatoes.
Do not wrap the potato in foil if you want crispy skin.
