Description
Creamy kielbasa pasta is a quick and comforting one-pot dinner made with smoked sausage, penne pasta, Parmesan cheese, and a rich creamy sauce.
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
14 oz kielbasa sausage sliced
3 cloves garlic minced
1 small onion chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz penne pasta
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley chopped
Optional red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned.
2. Add garlic and chopped onion. Cook until fragrant and softened.
3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a boil.
4. Add uncooked pasta and reduce heat. Cover and simmer until pasta becomes tender.
5. Stir occasionally so pasta cooks evenly and absorbs the creamy sauce.
6. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
7. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
8. Let the pasta rest for two minutes so the sauce thickens.
9. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use short pasta shapes like penne or rotini.
Add spinach or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
Store leftovers in refrigerator up to three days.
