Description
One-pot creamy garlic pasta made with simple ingredients—ready in under 30 minutes, ultra comforting, no cream needed!
Ingredients
8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)
1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups milk (whole preferred)
1 cup water (or as needed to cover pasta)
¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Optional: 2 tablespoons cream cheese or sour cream
Optional: chopped parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
2. Add dry pasta, milk, and enough water to just cover. Stir and bring to a gentle boil.
3. Simmer uncovered 8–10 minutes, stirring often, until pasta is al dente and liquid reduces.
4. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add cream cheese if desired.
5. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
Add extra milk to loosen sauce if needed during cooking.
To reheat, stir in a splash of milk and warm over low heat.
