Description
This cowboy butter recipe creates a rich garlic herb dipping sauce perfect for steak, seafood, and grilled vegetables.
Ingredients
8 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
2 tbsp finely diced fresh parsley
1 tbsp finely diced fresh chives
1/2 tsp finely diced fresh thyme leaves
1 garlic clove minced
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp Dijon mustard
3/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp chili flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 sirloin steaks
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt and pepper for seasoning
Instructions
1. Combine all cowboy butter ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until smooth
2. Pat steaks dry and season both sides with salt and pepper
3. Heat a cast iron pan over high heat and add vegetable oil
4. Place steaks in the hot pan and cook undisturbed for 2 minutes
5. Flip steaks and cook another 2 minutes for medium rare
6. Remove steaks and rest for 5 minutes
7. Serve steaks with a generous spoonful of cowboy butter on top
Notes
Use softened butter for easier mixing
Adjust chili flakes for desired spice level
