Ingredients
1 lb flank steak
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon baking soda (optional)
1/2 cup chicken stock
2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 head broccoli
1 tablespoon peanut oil
3 garlic cloves
2 teaspoons ginger
Instructions
1. Slice beef against the grain and marinate with soy sauce, oil, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
2. Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl.
3. Steam broccoli briefly until tender and set aside.
4. Sear beef in hot skillet until lightly charred.
5. Add garlic and ginger and stir quickly.
6. Return broccoli to pan and pour sauce.
7. Cook until sauce thickens, about 1 minute.
8. Serve immediately while hot.
