1 tablespoon food-grade activated charcoal or black food coloring gel

For The Peanut Butter Filling:

½ cup creamy peanut butter

2 cups powdered sugar

34 tablespoons heavy cream

2 teaspoons maple extract or maple syrup


Instructions

1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add egg, vanilla, almond extract, and mix well.

3. Sift in flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; mix until combined.

4. Add food coloring or charcoal until dough is black and firm.

5. Chill dough for 20 minutes.

6. Roll into bat wing shapes and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.

7. Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, maple extract, and cream until smooth.

8. Once pretzels are cool, sandwich peanut butter filling between two bat wings.

9. Drizzle with melted dark chocolate.

10. Decorate with candy eyes if desired.
