¼ cup dry red wine (optional)

2 tablespoons butter

1 small yellow onion diced

3 cloves garlic minced

2 cups beef broth

1 beef bouillon cube

1½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

¼ teaspoon dried thyme

¼ teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

3 tablespoons cornstarch

¼ cup cold water


Instructions

1. Combine beef seasoning and prepare gravy ingredients.

2. Cut sirloin tips into 1-inch cubes and remove large fat pieces.

3. Coat beef with seasoning and sprinkle with flour.

4. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown beef in batches for 30–45 seconds per side.

5. Transfer beef to a plate without fully cooking.

6. Deglaze skillet with red wine and scrape browned bits.

7. Add butter and onions and cook until softened.

8. Stir in garlic and cook briefly.

9. Add beef broth, bouillon cube, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings then bring to a boil.

10. Whisk cornstarch with cold water and slowly add to gravy while stirring.

11. Return beef and juices to the pan and simmer for 10–15 minutes until tender.

12. Optional: swirl cold butter into the gravy before serving.
